  1. scenes-from-my-hood: things i love: lowercase letters. i know it’s not for everyone, but i find it weirdly liberating not to worry about capitalization.  i don’t mean any disrespect by it, nor do i mean to denigrate my own message.  i don’t think anything written in lower case should be dismissed out of hand. what i write all day at work is terribly formal and stuffy.  my writing on here—in all regards aesthetic and substantive—is a reaction to that.  it’s a choice. also, i love consistency, and i have consistently used lower case on this blog.  i will continue to. lowercase is the best case
